Zoumana Keita makes Anderlecht first-team switch from RSCA Futures

Germany-Mali centre-back Zoumana Keita has joined RSC Anderlecht from the club’s development side, RSCA Futures, strengthening the Belgian top-flight squad with a move completed on 5 August 2026.

The 20-year-old defender has signed a contract with Anderlecht that runs until 30 June 2029. Keita, who was born in Cologne, is 1.89m tall and favours his right foot.

Keita spent the first half of 2026 with RSCA Futures in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League before making the step up to Anderlecht’s senior side. He had moved to Futures from the club’s first team in January, following his initial arrival at Anderlecht from Viktoria Koln in July 2025.

That move from Viktoria Koln was completed for €500,000, after Keita had progressed from the club’s youth system into its senior team. He previously represented Viktoria Koln’s under-19 and under-17 sides, having joined the club from 1. FC Koln’s youth setup in 2020.

Keita has already featured in UEFA Europa League qualifying during the 2026-27 campaign, making two appearances. He has played nine minutes in the competition and has not scored or provided an assist.

His experience at Viktoria Koln also includes a Middle Rhine Cup triumph in the 2024-25 season. The defender now returns to Anderlecht’s first-team group less than a year after joining the Belgian club.

The switch gives Anderlecht a young central defender with experience of German youth football, Belgian development-team football and European qualifying action. Keita’s move also marks the latest stage of a career that began in Cologne before taking him across the border to Belgium.

Anderlecht have registered Keita as a first-team player for the new season, with the defender bound to the club until the end of June 2029.
