Zizo calls for Al Ahly response against Kitara after league draw

Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” says Al Ahly are determined to produce a strong performance and beat Kitara to make up for their disappointing Egyptian Premier League draw with El Qanah.

Al Ahly face Kitara in the second-leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup, having won the first leg 2-1 in Uganda.

“We want to show a strong reaction that satisfies the players, the coaching staff and the supporters,” Zizo said on Al Ahly’s official page.

The forward added: “We want to improve the team’s performance and play with determination so that we can make a good impression.”

Zizo stressed the importance of the tie as Al Ahly look to progress in the competition.

“Every match is important and we hope to win so that we can move on from the previous draw against El Qanah,” he said.

Al Ahly were held to a 3-3 draw by El Qanah in the Egyptian Premier League.

Zizo also called on the club’s supporters to continue backing the team.

“We hope the fans will be present with Al Ahly in the coming period to support the team,” he said.
