Cagliari forward Zito Luvumbo is being linked with a move to La Liga side RCD Mallorca, with the Angolan striker reportedly on the Spanish club’s radar as they weigh up attacking reinforcements.
The 23-year-old, valued at €3.50m, is the subject of growing speculation over his future in Serie A, with reports in Italy and Spain suggesting Mallorca are exploring the possibility of bringing him to Son Moix. The probability of a deal remains unclear – listed only as “?” in market reports – but the rumour reflects Mallorca’s interest in younger, pace-driven forwards capable of operating through the middle.
Luvumbo, a left-footed centre-forward, is currently on the books of Cagliari Calcio, having graduated from the club’s Primavera side after an early spell on loan at Como 1907. His status beyond his current stint in Sardinia is not specified, raising the prospect that he could yet move on under favourable terms or even approach free-agent territory if contractual talks do not progress.
Born in Luanda on 9 March 2002, the 1.71m attacker first came through at Guelson FC before stepping up the youth ranks at CD 1º de Agosto in Angola, progressing from the U17s to the U20s and then the senior side. His transfer to Cagliari’s Primavera in 2020 marked his first move into European football, followed by his loan to Como in Serie B and his eventual promotion to Cagliari’s first team.
Luvumbo’s market value has fluctuated in recent seasons, peaking at €7.50m in June 2024 before declining to its current €3.50m by December 2025, a trend that may encourage suitors to test Cagliari’s resolve. Any switch to Mallorca would offer the Angolan international a fresh platform in La Liga, and if the move materialises it could prove pivotal in reshaping his career trajectory and reasserting his reputation as one of Africa’s more intriguing young forwards in Europe.
