Zié Diabaté, currently under contract with Dijon until June 30, 2015, has been on loan to the Belgian club La Gantoise (Ghent) with an option to buy until the end of the season. The Ivorian full-back has made a significant impression on the management of Ghent during the second part of the Jupiler Pro League, leading to their decision to extend his stay in Belgium.
According to reports from the newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, the Ghent management is pleased with Diabaté’s performances and intends to exercise the option to purchase him permanently. Aged 24, Diabaté is capable of playing on the left or in the center of defense.
