Zed FC faces change after Adel Mostafa’s exit to Al Ahly
Zed FC is facing a sudden shake-up after confirming the departure of general coach Adel Mustafa.
The announcement marked a bittersweet moment for the club, which had counted on his experience and steady guidance.
The decision came after Al Ahly revealed yesterday that both Mostafa and football director Walid Salah El-Din will join their interim staff. Zed responded with gratitude, thanking the pair for their commitment and service.
Club sources told Kooora that Mustafa will take on the general coach role within Al Ahly’s new technical team led by acting director Emad El Nahhas. Zed’s head coach, Mohamed Shawky, accepted his assistant’s wish to move, acknowledging the prestige of such an opportunity.
Mostafa’s history with Al Ahly makes the move feel like a homecoming. He once wore the famous red shirt before playing for Suez Cement and Enppi, eventually hanging up his boots. After retirement, he built a coaching career that included spells with Egypt’s Olympic team, Al Wahda in Saudi Arabia, Ceramica Cleopatra, and Misr El-Makkasa.
