Zé Zanga, who was once a teammate of Samuel Eto’o and Geremi Njitap, passed away under circumstances not yet known earlier this week.
His funeral is scheduled for today, and it is expected to bring together many friends, family members, and well-wishers. McDonald Zé Zanga will be remembered as one of the prominent players of his country, making significant contributions from 1996 to 2006. He was the vice champion of Cameroon in 2004 with Racing de Bafoussam, where he served as captain.
Zé Zanga played for various clubs, including Fédérale de Foumban, Coton Sport de Garoua, Unisport du Haut-Nkam, and UCB de Douala. He also ventured into coaching, taking on the role at Esperance de Guider. Notably, he was one of the early African players to explore opportunities in China.
