The Football Association of Zambia has officially unveiled Nora Häuptle following her departure from Ghana’s Black Queens.

The event, which was held on Friday at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel, saw the Swiss trainer sign a three-year deal to become the head coach of the Copper Queens. She has replaced takes over from Bruce Mwape.

Nora left her role as the head coach of the Black Queens after deciding not to renew her contract following the expiration of her two-year deal.

She’s now expected to lead Zambia in its quest to fight for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be staged in July.

Nora’s immediate task will be to prepare the squad for the tournament through a series of friendly matches.

Zambia knocked out Nora’s Black Queens in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games in a two-legged encounter.

Following her departure from the Ghana national team, the Ghana Football Association brought in Kim Lars Bjorkegren to take over her role.
