Stoppila Sunzu Nears Sochaux Exit Amid Interest from Shanghai Shenhua
Zambian international Stoppila Sunzu could soon be on his way out of FC Sochaux, with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua showing strong interest in securing his services. According to reports, the Asian outfit has already submitted a financial offer to the French side.
Sunzu, who joined Sochaux during the reign of Hervé Renard, enjoyed a standout second half of the 2013–2014 season and had previously been deemed untransferable amid interest from several clubs, including Stade de Reims. However, circumstances have since changed.
With Sochaux in need of funds and Sunzu set to leave for international duty with Zambia at the upcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, the Ligue 2 club is now more open to his departure.
The potential move to Shanghai Shenhua could offer Sunzu a lucrative new challenge while providing Sochaux with much-needed financial relief.
