Wael El-Kabbani, former football director of Zamalek SC, has extended a public apology to ex-head coach Ayman El-Ramady, following recent media backlash surrounding his earlier comments.
Speaking on television Tuesday night, El-Kabbani stated, “I apologize to Ayman al-Ramadi for any misunderstanding of any of my previous statements. I respect him greatly.”
He stressed that no bad blood exists between them, saying, “I have a good relationship with Ayman Al-Ramadi, and there is no dispute.” He clarified confusion around a technical meeting by noting, “I have nothing to do with the technical lecture… Ayman Al-Ramadi met with the players on his own.”
El-Kabbani also praised his former colleague: “I would like to thank Ayman Al-Ramadi, a great coach. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for him.”
Addressing accusations about leaking internal matters, he explained, “I did not reveal any secrets about Zamalek Club… I am honest in my response.”
El-Ramady accepted the apology, acknowledging El-Kabbani’s error but emphasizing, “That was the nature of the greats.”
