The fifth group stage match of the CAF Confederation Cup between Mozambique’s Black Bulls and Egypt’s Zamalek SC may see a change in venue, potentially shifting from Mozambique to Cairo.

The game, originally scheduled to take place at the Campo da ABB stadium, now appears likely to be held in Egypt.

Reports suggest that Zamalek’s management formally requested to host the encounter on their home turf, citing logistical and operational considerations.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Black Bulls leadership have reportedly agreed to this proposal, paving the way for the match to occur in Cairo.

The two sides previously met in Group D’s opening match, with Zamalek emerging victorious in a 2-0 encounter.

The White Knights currently top the group with seven points, having showcased consistent form under the guidance of coach Christian Gross.

Their solid defensive performances and clinical finishing have been key to their success thus far.

Meanwhile, the Black Bulls, sitting second in the group with four points, face a challenging task in the return leg.

Their journey in the CAF Cup has been marked by spirited performances, but facing Zamalek on their home ground adds another layer of difficulty to their campaign.

The proposed relocation of the match could significantly influence the dynamics of the game, offering Zamalek a familiar environment and home support as they aim to cement their dominance in the group.

For the Black Bulls, the shift could pose additional hurdles, but it also provides an opportunity to test their resilience against a strong opponent in an away setting.

As CAF and both teams finalize the arrangements, fans eagerly anticipate what promises to be a pivotal match in the race for group stage supremacy.

The outcome of this encounter will likely play a crucial role in determining the trajectory of both clubs in the tournament, with Zamalek seeking to extend their lead and the Black Bulls striving to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Further details on the final venue and match logistics are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
