Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo” has been linked with a potential departure from Zamalek as he nears the expiration of his contract.
The 27-year-old midfielder will become a free agent at the end of the season if both parties do not agree on a new deal.
Despite transfer speculation, Zamalek have not received any official offer for the attacking midfielder.
“We have not received any official offers regarding Zizo, and all that is being raised are just journalistic speculation” the club’s spokesperson, Ahmed Salem revealed.
Meanwhile, Trabzonspor have entered the race to sign the highly-rated midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.
Trabzonspor are keen about bolstering their squad and has set sights on securing the services of the Egyptian attacker.
Having monitored Zizo at both Zamalek and the Paris Olympics, Trabzonspor has identified the 27-year-old as a perfect fit for the club.
