Excitement is growing in the Zamalek camp as the club prepares to welcome Brazilian winger Juan Alvina to Cairo.
The 22-year-old joins from Ukrainian side Oleksandria on a four-year deal, stepping in as a direct replacement for Mostafa Shalaby.
“Alvina is scheduled to be in Cairo this evening, Friday,” a club source told Kooora. The player is wrapping up final formalities before linking up with his new teammates and taking part in group training.
Supporters are eager to see how his flair and pace will add to Zamalek’s attack. Alvina becomes one of several fresh faces brought in to boost the squad ahead of the new season.
Recent signings include goalkeeper Mahdi Soliman on a two-year free transfer, Angolan forward Chico Banza from Estrela da Amadora on a four-year deal, and Amr Nasser from Pharco on a five-year contract.
The club has also renewed veteran playmaker Abdullah Al-Saeed’s deal for two more seasons and secured Palestinian striker Uday Al-Dabbagh from Belgian outfit Charleroi for four years, reflecting Zamalek’s ambition to challenge strongly on all fronts.
