Amr Adham, a member of Zamalek’s board of directors, confirmed that the club aims to secure 4 or 5 signings during the current winter transfer window after the official lifting of the registration suspension.
Speaking on the “Zamalekawy” program on the Zamalek channel with Mohamed Abu El Ala, Adham stated that the management is actively working on reinforcing the team with the needed elements in the current period, emphasizing that the major strengthening will occur before the commencement of the new season.
Earlier, another board member had affirmed that the club’s management had filed appeals in the cases of Tunisian Ferjani Sassi and Moroccan Khalid Boutaib, former footballers of the team.
Adham continued, noting that Khalid Boutaib has filed a complaint to receive his full contract dues, and the management is seeking amicable solutions with the player.
Regarding Ferjani Sassi, a board member mentioned that he is seeking the added value specified in his contract, highlighting that the most challenging case faced by the board was related to the Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.
Adham stressed that the registration issue was like a “nightmare” that they have now overcome, mentioning that the board has faced numerous crises in the past three months since taking over the club’s management.
