Zamalek has moved to protect its name and values after the club’s board of directors, led by Hussein Labib, filed an official complaint on Wednesday with Attorney General Counselor Mohamed Shawky.
The issue concerns alleged violations linked to the land of the club’s much-anticipated new branch in 6th of October City.
In a firm statement, the council asked that the matter be handled by the Public Funds Prosecution Office. The board also made clear that its members are ready to appear before investigative authorities to respond to any claims that question their financial integrity “without legal basis,” according to the statement.
The White Castle’s leadership stressed its respect for state institutions and assured fans of its ongoing commitment to transparency and credibility. The land for the new branch was described as “a big dream for the club’s fans,” a project that symbolizes both growth and connection with its loyal supporters.
Amid the off-field developments, Zamalek continues to shine on the pitch, sitting at the top of the Egyptian Premier League with 10 points from 4 matches.
