Zamalek step up preparations for Confederation Cup final second leg after USM Alger defeat

Zamalek SC continued their build-up for the decisive second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final with an intense physical training session on Tuesday at the Military Academy Stadium.

The session was led by Portuguese fitness coach Nuno Costa Ribeiro, who put the players through structured running drills around the pitch, along with light ball work aimed at maintaining sharpness and fitness levels ahead of the high-stakes encounter.

Training resumed in the evening after the squad were granted a rest day on Monday, following their return to Cairo on Sunday night after the first leg in Algeria.

Zamalek head into the return fixture needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit after their narrow defeat to USM Alger in the opening leg of the final.

The decisive second leg is scheduled for next Saturday at 9:00 pm at Cairo International Stadium, where the Egyptian giants will look to mount a comeback in front of their home supporters.
