Zamalek star Ahmed Sayed Zizo has ruled a possible move to Egyptian powerhouse, Al Ahly in the summer transfer window, insisting he is happy at the White Castle.
Zizo, whose contract expires at the end of the season has yet to sign a new deal with Zamalek and could talk to a club of his choice before the summer window.
Earlier reports suggested the 29-year-old could join former teammates Imam Ashour and Ashraf Ben Sharqi at Al Ahly.
But the enterprising winger has swiftly denied such reports, insisting he is happy at Zamalek.
Asked about the possibility of joining Al Ahly, Zizo said, “It will not happen.”
“I am very happy to be in Zamalek, and the White fans are the ones who have credited me.”
He concluded, “Zamalek is the one who made Zizo popular, and I do not want anyone to outbid me. I lived the best five years of my life in the White Castle.”
Zizo has made 13 appearances for Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League this season, scoring three goals and providing an assist.
In all competitions, he has racked up six goals and provided four assists from 24 games.
