Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek will not sack head coach Yannick Ferreira despite defeat against sworn-rivals Al Ahly.

Despite their impressive form in the current campaign, Zamalek fell short to Al Ahly in the Premier League clash last Monday, sparking speculations about Ferreira’s future at the club.

Zamalek faces a tough test against Ghazl El Mahalla in the Egyptian Premier League at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia.

Earlier reports suggested the Belgian trainer could be shown the exit door should Zamalek fail to defeat Ghazl El Mahalla before the international break.

But Africasoccer.com understands the outcome of the upcoming clash won’t determine the future of the Belgian tactician.

Zamalek are impressed with the performance of their coach despite Al Ahly defeat, entrusting him to lead the club this campaign.

Zamalek, under the leadership of Yannick Ferreira, leads the league standings with 17 points after nine rounds.
