Zamalek are closing in on the announcement of their new head coach as the Egyptian giants prepare for a fresh start ahead of next season.
A source inside the club told Kooora that, John Edward Zamalek’s sporting director has wrapped up talks with several candidates. Three foreign coaches have made the final shortlist after discussions with eight names in total.
Edward is now weighing his options to select the best fit for the team’s technical direction. Among the leading contenders is Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira, who remains a strong candidate despite concerns within the club over his name being prematurely leaked to the media.
While Zamalek’s management is yet to make a final call, confidence is growing that a decision is imminent. The same source confirmed the club plans to complete the signing of their new coach by Wednesday at the latest.
The new appointment is expected to bring stability after Ayman El Ramadi’s departure and signal the beginning of Zamalek’s preparations for a demanding new campaign both domestically and on the continent.
