Egyptian powerhouse, Zamalek have decided to renew the contract of Portuguese trainer Jose Gomez.
The 54-year-old tactician, who guided the club to annex the CAF Confederation Cup title will in the coming days put pen to paper to extend his stay.
Zamalek treasure Hossam El Mandouh in a statement confirmed the imminent contract renewal of Jose Gomez.
“The relationship between the administration and Gomez is respectful and strong, and the Portuguese knows Zamalek’s circumstances and current capabilities, so we saw Nasser Mansi’s brilliance and development.”
“The Board of Directors’ policy is to support and develop, and Gomez is suffering from major challenges and problems.”
He continued: “Criticism is anyone’s right, and Gomez accepts criticism, there is no problem, but we must maintain our origins and talk behind closed doors, and criticism must be constructive and not for the purpose of destruction.”
“The coming days will witness the renewal of Gomez’s contract, and this is the unanimous decision of the Zamalek Board of Directors, and Hussein Labib, the club’s president, is following up on this file”
