Zamalek set to end agreement with women’s football management company

Zamalek have decided to terminate their contract with the company that manages the club’s women’s football operations, according to FilGoal.com.

The decision follows what the club considers failures to meet financial and administrative obligations, as well as breaches of the terms agreed in the contract.

Zamalek have reportedly covered several of the team’s expenses in recent months. Those costs include participation fees, the registration and documentation of players’ contracts, accommodation, the recruitment of foreign players, travel tickets and other administrative outgoings.

The development comes after Zamalek suffered a 6-0 defeat by Al Ahly in the second round of the women’s football league. The match was played at Zamalek Club.

The result was Al Ahly’s biggest-ever victory over Zamalek.

Zamalek have yet to beat Al Ahly in the fixture. Al Ahly have won four of the clubs’ meetings, while the other match ended in a draw.

Zamalek are 14th in the 16-team table and have no points.
