Per coach Christian Gross’ request, two local players and two foreign players will be drafted into the Zamalek team.

Among the players is midfielder Mahmoud Jihad, who has officially been unveiled as a player of Zamalek.

The enterprising midfielder joins Zamalek on a permanent deal from fellow Egyptian club, Pharco FC.

Mahmoud Jihad made nine appearances in the Egyptian Premier League, scoring two goals across the period for the club.

The midfielder joined Pharco from El-Nogoom Club in the summer of 2021 and established himself as a key member of the team.
