Egyptian giants Zamalek SC have set their sights on qualifying for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
The club is not part of the four clubs from Africa that represented the continent at this year’s tournament.
According to Zamalek SC treasurer Hossam El Mandouh, the club wants to put things in place to qualify for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
“We are striving to participate in the 2029 Club World Cup. This is our vision. This journey will certainly present many challenges for us, but this is our goal.
“When we sat down with John Edward, we emphasised that our goal was to participate in Africa, then win this tournament, and then participate in the Club World Cup,” Hossam El Mandouh told On Sport radio.
He added, “We must keep our eyes on this from now on, and emphasise that the journey is not easy, but rather extremely difficult and requires solidarity from everyone.
At the end of the group phase of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, all four clubs have been eliminated.
