The first-team football squad of Zamalek Sporting Club is set to resume collective training on Saturday after being granted a 48-hour rest period by the team’s coaching staff, led by Moatamad Gamal.
The temporary hiatus comes in the wake of a friendly match held on Wednesday evening between the first-team players at the club’s grounds.
The intense encounter culminated in a narrow victory for the blue-clad team, securing a 3-2 win over their white-clad counterparts.
It is noteworthy that the League of Clubs has decided to postpone Zamalek’s scheduled match against Ceramica Cleopatra in the Premier League’s tenth round.
This strategic move is attributed to the national team’s preparations for the impending Africa Cup of Nations, slated to commence from January 13 to February 11.
