Zamalek resolve Salah Mossadek case

Egyptian giants Zamalek have reportedly taken a significant step towards resolving their disciplinary issues after reaching a final settlement agreement with Moroccan defender Salah Mossadek.

According to reports in Egypt, the club has successfully concluded its dispute with the Wydad Casablanca player, bringing an end to one of the cases that resulted in sanctions being imposed on the Cairo-based outfit

Fahmi Belhaj, the lawyer representing Mossadek, confirmed that all parties involved have signed the final settlement documents after completing the necessary legal and administrative procedures.

Belhaj revealed that official communication has already been sent to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), informing the body that the dispute has been resolved and that there are no remaining obstacles related to the case.

The development is expected to strengthen Zamalek’s efforts to have the disciplinary measures linked to the matter lifted, allowing the club to focus on its sporting and administrative plans without further complications.

According to the lawyer, Zamalek’s management acted decisively to bring the issue to a close, while Mossadek also played an important role by demonstrating flexibility during negotiations.

The willingness of both sides to reach common ground ultimately paved the way for an agreement that satisfied all parties and brought an end to the long-running dispute.

The settlement forms part of a broader strategy by Zamalek to clear outstanding legal and financial cases that have affected the club in recent years.

Reports indicate that club officials are continuing to work on other unresolved Moroccan-related files, including matters involving player Abdelhamid Maali and Moroccan club Ittihad Tanger.

The aim is to settle all pending disputes and prevent any future sanctions that could impact the club’s operations, transfer activities or participation in competitions.

Mossadek had previously secured a favorable ruling from FIFA in his case against Zamalek, a decision that contributed to disciplinary action against the Egyptian side.

However, following extensive discussions between the parties, a mutually acceptable agreement has now been reached, bringing the matter to a close.

The latest breakthrough will come as welcome news for Zamalek supporters, who have been eager to see the club resolve its legal challenges and focus fully on rebuilding both on and off the pitch.

With one major case now settled, attention is expected to shift to the remaining outstanding files as the club seeks to restore stability and avoid further administrative complications in the future.
