Former Egyptian international Ayman Younes has hailed Zamalek’s emphatic win over Ismaily Electricity in the Premier League.
Speaking on the radio, Younes described Zamalek as “a phenomenon,” acknowledging that the club has faced internal challenges but has consistently demonstrated resilience.
He emphasized the role of the fans, saying, “Zamalek’s supporters are the true heroes. Their passion has sustained the club through thick and thin, and every victory belongs to them.
“Zamalek remains a formidable force in African football and a historic rival to Al-Ahly for major titles.”
Younes also praised the club’s youth development, calling it “a turning point and a source of strength,” and warned that weak youth sectors in other clubs could be detrimental to their future.
