Zamalek receive first $3m instalment from Juan Beizera transfer

Zamalek have received the first payment from the transfer of Juan Beizera to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, with the instalment understood to be worth $3m.

FilGoal.com understands that Zamalek’s management will also pay part of the players’ outstanding dues within hours.

Beizera’s move to the UAE was completed after the Brazilian winger passed his medical, allowing both clubs to confirm the transfer officially.

Shabab Al Ahli Dubai announced the signing in a video posted on their social media channels, accompanied by the message: “They searched for the date of the announcement… Dubai is the destination.”

Beizera, wearing the UAE club’s shirt, then said: “I am a Shabab Al Ahli player.”

The transfer follows an earlier insistence from Zamalek that two key conditions had to be met before they would agree to allow Beizera to leave.

A source previously told FilGoal.com that the first condition was for the player to return to Cairo to complete negotiations.

The second was for Zamalek to secure the maximum possible financial return from the deal. The club wanted to receive the $5m transfer fee, in addition to other percentages that would take the overall value of the transfer to almost $7m.

Beizera played 44 matches in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals and providing 12 assists.

He helped Zamalek win the Egyptian Premier League last season but ended the campaign by losing the Confederation Cup final with the Cairo club on penalties.
