Zamalek SC is intensifying efforts to sign Fahad Al-Masmari from Libyan club Al-Tahadi during the upcoming transfer window, according to club sources. Negotiations have faced resistance from Al-Tahadi coach Khaled Galal, who has reportedly refused to release the player regardless of the offers.
The Zamalek board is said to be pressuring Galal to reconsider, given that Al-Masmari’s contract with Al-Tahadi ends this season.
Meanwhile, Al-Tahadi President Najeeb Al-Warfali confirmed no direct contact from Zamalek but acknowledged interest communicated through intermediaries.
Fahad Al-Masmari is a standout talent and has several offers, including from Tunisian and Libyan clubs.
However, he will not join another Libyan team,” Al-Warfali told reporters, likening the 20-year-old’s playing style to Moroccan star Achraf Bencharki.
Al-Masmari, who plays as an attacking midfielder, is seen as a promising addition for Zamalek as the club seeks to strengthen its squad.
The Libyan side appears open to negotiations, provided the financial terms meet expectations.
