Zamalek to face AS Port

Zamalek chairman Hussein Labib and board members Hisham Nasr and Hussein El-Sayed attended the team’s training session on Sunday as the club’s financial crisis continued to cause tension within the squad.

The officials had planned to meet the players to discuss their delayed financial dues, but reports indicate that a large number of players declined to attend the meeting before training because of the lack of clear solutions to the issue.

Club officials instead held discussions with the team’s captains in an attempt to explain the administration’s position and outline its plans for addressing the outstanding payments.

The delays have reportedly caused frustration among several Zamalek players, with concerns growing over the absence of a clear timetable for settling the club’s financial obligations.

Labib is expected to hold an urgent meeting with other club officials on Sunday evening to discuss possible solutions and prevent the situation from escalating.

Meanwhile, Zamalek are continuing preparations for their Egyptian Premier League fixture against Abu Qir Fertilizers.

The match is scheduled for 20:00 local time on Tuesday at Cairo International Stadium and will be Zamalek’s fourth league game of the season.
