Zamalek is moving fast to boost its squad for the upcoming season, and Pharco striker Ahmed Sherif is now top of their summer targets.
The Cairo giants are determined to build a strong team capable of chasing silverware next season and believe Sherif can add depth to their attacking options.
Talks between Zamalek officials and the talented forward have already taken place, with positive signs emerging.
“There was a communication between the officials of Zamalek, Ahmed Sharif, and the player welcomed the offer and join the team,” a source at Zamalek told Kooora.
However, a deal isn’t sealed yet. The player’s current club must still be involved in the process.
“Ahmed Sherif only agreed with Zamalek and did not sign, because the player confirmed that his contract with Pharco and negotiations with his club must be concluded first,” the source explained.
Zamalek is also working behind the scenes to appoint a new manager, while sporting director John Edward is coordinating with the planning committee on rebuilding the squad.
