Dominique Da Silva Available for Transfer Amid Zamalek Squad Overhaul
Dominique Da Silva, the Mauritanian international midfielder, finds himself on the transfer market just six months after joining Egyptian giants Zamalek. The club’s recent influx of new signings has left Da Silva surplus to requirements, forcing him to seek a new club.
Da Silva’s troubles at Zamalek have been compounded by off-field issues. The player has been sidelined from the Mauritanian national team following a dispute with teammate Adama Ba and coach Patrice Neveu. Additionally, he was handed a three-match suspension in the CAF Champions League after an incident involving referees during a May clash between Zamalek and TP Mazembe.
Zamalek’s decision to release Da Silva is part of a broader squad reshuffle. The Cairo-based club, fresh off winning the Egyptian National Cup, has also let go of ten other players as it looks to rebuild and strengthen ahead of the new season.
The departure of Da Silva marks another chapter in his difficult spell at Zamalek, with the midfielder now searching for new opportunities elsewhere.
