Zamalek make strong statement on player exits in transfer market
Zamalek are taking a firm stance in the summer transfer window, making it clear that no player will leave without a price tag.
The Cairo giants have informed both Mohamed Atef and Mohab Yasser that they must bring offers to the table if they wish to move.
Club sources revealed to Kooora that the Zamalek board has adopted a strict policy, no free exits. Every player must provide value, whether through transfer fees or swap deals. The board believes this is essential to protect the club’s investments.
Mohamed Atef, 22, joined Zamalek during the winter window of the season before last on a four-and-a-half-year deal. Since then, he has featured in 15 matches and scored once.
Mohab Yasser, 28, signed a three-and-a-half-year contract in the previous winter window. He has played 11 games and also found the net once.
The message from Zamalek is loud and clear: departures must benefit the club. As the window unfolds, it’s up to the players and their agents to respond.
