Zamalek are closing in on appointing a new football director, with Abdel Nasser Mohamed emerging as the leading candidate to fill the role.
This follows the departure of Wael El-Qabbani, whose exit left a gap the club are eager to fill quickly.
A reliable source within the club told Kooora that Abdel Nasser, who currently holds the same role at Enppi, is now the top name on the shortlist.
“The most prominent candidate to take over the position of football director is Abdel Nasser Mohamed, the current football director at Enppi,” the source confirmed.
While Zamalek are considering a list of three names, the process is nearing its conclusion.
“There is a list of three candidates for the position of director of football. This matter will be decided by John Edward, the sporting director, within 48 hours, and the final decision will be made by the board of directors.
“There is direct cooperation between John Edward and Hussein Labib, the club’s president, and there are no disputes between the two.”
