Zamalek draw AS Port of Djibouti in CAF Champions League return

Egyptian giants Zamalek have discovered their opponent for the preliminary round of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League following the draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo on Thursday.

The newly crowned Egyptian champions will begin their continental campaign against AS Port of Djibouti in the round of 64, as they make their return to Africa’s premier club competition after a three-year absence.

Zamalek secured their place in the CAF Champions League after reclaiming the Egyptian Premier League title last season, ending their wait for a return to the continent’s biggest stage.
