Club sources deny striking a deal with Yan Matheus, a Brazilian winger for Yokohama F. Marinos, but Zamalek is remaining steadfast in the transfer market.
A club source informed Kooora that negotiations have not advanced and that there is no deal in place for Matheus, despite what is being reported. The source clarified, “The news circulating from Yan Matheus’ agent is incorrect, and no agreement has been reached with him or the player regarding a transfer to Zamalek,”.
Intermediaries recommended a number of players, including the Brazilian, but Zamalek’s decision-makers have not gotten in touch. According to the source, “Yan Matheus was one of the players nominated by an agent, but no club official contacted him.”
“Matthews is currently far from Zamalek’s reinforcement plan, and we have other names at the forefront of the candidates,” the source added.
In the meantime, Zamalek announced the four-year contract signing of Palestinian striker Uday Al-Dabbagh from Belgian team Charleroi. John Edward, the sporting director, was present when the deal was signed in Cairo.
