Zamalek deny crisis over the club's land at Mit Okba

A senior Zamalek official confirmed on Wednesday that there are no legal or financial disputes related to the club’s land in the Mit Okba area, stressing that the White Castle is fully committed to paying all dues owed to the Ministry of Endowments on time without delay.

The official told Kooora that “the cheque circulating on social media is not currently due, as its encashment date is next August,” adding that only one final installment of 875,000 Egyptian pounds remains, after which the land’s ownership will officially transfer to Zamalek.

Regarding usufruct contracts, the source underlined that the club is regularly meeting its periodic obligations, noting that the December installment has already been issued and signed, “which completely refutes the existence of any legal action against the club.” He pointed out that a Ministry of Endowments representative appeared on Zamalek’s official TV channel to “remove any doubt and confirm the soundness of the club’s legal and financial position before public opinion.”

Reports of a new crisis with the Endowments Authority had heightened fans’ fears, especially as Zamalek is already battling several problems, including transfer registration bans and the withdrawal of a previously allocated plot of land in the Hadayek October area.
