Zamalek SC head coach, Christian Gross, has praised striker Ahmed Sayed Zizo, emphasising his crucial role in the team’s setup.
Following Zamalek’s 2-2 draw against El Geish on matchday six of the Egyptian Premier League, the 70-year-old Swiss tactician spoke about Zizo’s impact, describing the 28-year-old as a player on a meteoric rise.
“Zizo is an important player for Zamalek SC. He shows determination against any opponent,” Gross said.
Zizo’s performances this season have been instrumental for Zamalek. The right-footed forward has made 13 appearances, contributing three goals and one assist.
His consistent displays have prompted the club’s management, led by Hussein Labib, to open negotiations for a contract extension that would see Zizo remain at the club until June 2025.
As talks progress, fans will hope that Zizo continues to shine and solidify his position as one of Zamalek’s key players in its quest for domestic and continental success.
