Zamalek bring back Mohamed Osama as medical chief and appoint new performance analyst
Zamalek have announced their full technical, administrative and medical staff for the 2026-27 season, with Mohamed Osama returning to lead the medical team and Fabio Ferreira joining as the club’s new performance analyst.
Moataz Gamal will remain as head coach, while Abdel Nasser Mohamed continues in his role as football director. Ibrahim Salah will serve as assistant coach and Salah Soliman has been added to the coaching staff.
Nuno Costa Ribeiro will also stay on as fitness coach. Ferreira replaces Fabio Nuno, who worked with the team during the previous campaign.
Osama returns to Zamalek’s medical department after spending last season away from the club. His appointment is one of the main changes in the team’s backroom structure ahead of the new campaign.

Zamalek are currently in their preparations for the 2026-27 season. The club’s first match in the new Egyptian Premier League campaign will be against Al Ittihad Alexandria at Cairo International Stadium.
The announcement confirms continuity in several key positions, with Gamal, Abdel Nasser Mohamed and Costa Ribeiro all retained. At the same time, the club have strengthened the structure around the first team by bringing in Soliman and Ferreira, while restoring Osama to responsibility for the medical department.
Zamalek’s preparations will therefore continue under the same head coach and football director, with the team’s opening league fixture against Al Ittihad Alexandria serving as its first scheduled test of the new season.
