Zamalek have officially distanced themselves from the circulating reports surrounding star player Zizo, as the club braces for his potential departure at the end of the season.
In a sharp statement, the club’s board led by Hussein Labib made it clear they are not behind the recent wave of media stories, particularly those linking Zizo to Al Ahly and claims about salary deductions for missed training.
Negotiations between Zamalek and Zizo reportedly collapsed, setting the stage for his exit once his current deal ends. The club has now referred the winger for investigation following his public comments against Zamalek, further intensifying speculation.
“Due to the frequent circulation of news related to the relationship with Zizo and the measures being taken, the club announces that it is not responsible for any news circulated in this regard, except through its official platforms and media centre only.”
Zamalek urged media houses to verify all information, warning that false reports only add confusion and stir unnecessary drama.
