Zamalek SC has officially parted ways with former football stars Ahmed Hossam Mido and Hazem Emam, following the conclusion of the club’s Planning and Development Committee’s term.
The decision marks a major shift after months of internal work focused on reshaping the football department.
The Cairo giants issued a statement on Thursday, commending the committee’s work since its formation. “The planning committee’s work was impeccable, from its formation until the end of its term, in a civilized manner that reflects the desire of all its members to provide the team with every means of success.”
Led by Hussein Labib, Zamalek’s board acknowledged the committee’s tireless efforts across a seven-month period. “respects and appreciates the role played by the planning committee, which consists of Amr El-Ganainy, Hazem Emam, and Ahmed Hossam Mido, through significant efforts that spanned over seven months regarding the football file. These efforts culminated in the submission of recommendations for a complete restructuring of the football sector to the board of directors, which approved them and has already begun implementing them.”
As the club moves into a new era, the board thanked the trio and praised their dedication to the badge. “They are loyal Zamalek supporters, known for their competence and commitment to standing with the club at all times.”
