Zamalek have taken a strong stance on discipline ahead of their key Egyptian Premier League match against Al-Masry.

The White Knights confirmed that Angolan forward Chico Banza will not be part of the squad, a decision that reflects the club’s insistence on order and responsibility within the team.

A source within Zamalek told Kooora on Friday that a penalty has been imposed on Chico Banza, the team’s star player.

The source explained, in exclusive statements to Kooora, that Zamalek’s technical staff decided to exclude Chico Banza from participating in the upcoming match against Al-Masry SC in the sixth round of the league, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday.

The source added that the decision came on the recommendation of Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira, in coordination with sporting director John Edward and football director Abdel Nasser Mohamed, after Banza delayed his return to Cairo and missed training sessions.

Though the player cited family reasons for his absence, the club emphasized the need to enforce its disciplinary rules to strengthen team unity and focus during this important stage of the season.
