Zakaria Tindano unveiled as Spartak Varna player after loan move from Göztepe

Ivorian-born left-back Zakaria Tindano has joined Bulgarian top-flight side Spartak Varna on loan from Turkish club Göztepe SK, continuing his development with a new opportunity in the Efbet Liga.

The 19-year-old, who also has Burkinabe heritage, will remain with the Bulgarian club on loan until June 2027. Spartak Varna confirmed the deal through its official social media channels, announcing his arrival as part of their squad reinforcement.

Tindano made the move after a positive spell in Bulgaria earlier in the 2025/26 season with Botev Plovdiv, where he gained valuable first-team experience during a loan stint.

His performances there helped raise his profile and paved the way for a return to the same league for further development.

The latest loan is designed to give the young defender consistent playing time at a competitive level. At just 19 years old, Tindano is seen as a player still in the early stages of his professional career, with the move intended to accelerate his progress through regular match exposure.

Naturally left-footed, Tindano is capable of operating as a traditional left-back as well as stepping into midfield when required. His technical ability, pace and defensive awareness have been highlighted as key strengths in his game.

Spartak Varna are understood to view him as an important addition for the left side of their defence, with the club placing emphasis on youth and long-term potential as part of their squad-building strategy.

The Bulgarian side will hope the defender can quickly adapt and contribute to their domestic campaign, while continuing to develop his all-round game in a physically demanding league environment.

For Tindano, the move also represents an opportunity to increase his visibility on the international stage. Eligible to represent both Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast, his continued progression in Europe could strengthen his case for future national team consideration.

As he settles into his new surroundings in Varna, the young defender will be aiming to establish himself as a regular starter and take another step forward in a career that continues to gather momentum across European football.
