Zakaria Grich: Franco-Moroccan winger joins Riviera FC on free transfer

Riviera FC have added experienced left-sided midfielder Zakaria Grich to their squad, with the France-born Moroccan joining the National 2 Group G side on a free transfer from ES Cannet.

The 30-year-old, who is comfortable operating on the left flank and plays predominantly with his left foot, makes the switch after a season with Cannet, where he also arrived as a free agent. Grich’s move keeps him in the same division, offering Riviera FC an immediate option familiar with the level and opponents in France’s fourth tier.

Born in Grasse and standing at 1.75m, Grich has spent much of his career in the French game, building up a wide range of experience across the country. Earlier in his career he featured for Chamois Niort, stepping up from Niort’s reserve side before a loan spell at USL Dunkerque was converted back into a return to Niort.

In recent seasons he has become a regular presence in the semi-professional ranks, moving through clubs including US Granville, FC Versailles, FC O. Tourangeau, FC Chamalieres and FC Gueugnon prior to his stint at Cannet. Riviera FC will be his eighth different club since leaving Niort’s first team.

Grich’s arrival, confirmed on 23 July 2026, strengthens Riviera FC’s left side as they prepare for the new National 2 Group G campaign following his permanent free transfer from ES Cannet.
