Striker Zakaria Bakkali, who has been struggling to secure a consistent spot in the PSV Eindhoven squad, may find a new opportunity in Belgium after a promising start to the season in the Dutch league. The Belgian international, of Moroccan descent, has lost his starting position at PSV and is now considering a move to the Jupiler Pro League to regain form and regular playing time.
Two Belgian clubs, Anderlecht and Standard, are reportedly interested in acquiring the 18-year-old striker. Bakkali, who has been facing limited playing time and fluctuating performance levels, is seeking a fresh start to reignite his career.
Despite his contract with PSV running until June 2015, Bakkali may explore the possibility of returning to Belgian football, where he previously played for youth teams at RFC Liège and Standard before joining PSV Eindhoven.
