Zaccaria Hamlili: Italy-Morocco midfielder joins Vado on free transfer from Livorno

Italy-Morocco midfielder Zaccaria Hamlili has joined Vado on a free transfer from Livorno, strengthening the Serie C side’s options in defensive midfield ahead of the new campaign.

The 35-year-old, born in Manerbio and comfortable at the base of midfield, moves after two years with Livorno, where he helped the club to the Scudetto Serie D title in 2025. His switch to Vado was completed on 22 July 2026 following the end of his contract, with the move registered as a free transfer.

Hamlili, who stands at 1.70m and plays predominantly as a right-footed holding midfielder, arrives with extensive experience across Italy’s lower professional tiers. He has amassed close to 300 league appearances in Serie C and Serie D, including long spells in Serie C groups A, B and C, as well as play-off and playout campaigns.

Before joining Livorno in 2024, Hamlili had represented Monopoli and Bari, featuring regularly in Serie C and the Coppa Serie C. Earlier in his career he spent time with clubs such as Pistoiese, Ancona, Forli, Cuneo and Virtus Entella after coming through Brescia’s youth ranks, gradually building a reputation as a reliable presence in midfield.

His performances across Serie C have included over 280 league games and a steady, if modest, goal return from deep, complemented by a series of assists and more than 20,000 minutes of competitive football. Vado will look to draw on that experience as they prepare for the demands of Serie C Group A.

Hamlili’s arrival, with a current market value listed at €50,000, marks a further piece of business for Vado as they finalise their squad, with the midfielder now officially registered with the club.
