Yves Gnegnene Gnago has completed a move to Union Clodiense Chioggia from FBC Gravina on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs from 30 November 2025 to 30 June 2026.

The 33-year-old centre-forward leaves Girone H side Gravina to join Clodiense in Serie D – Girone C, remaining in Italy’s fourth tier but switching groups within the division. The deal has been concluded without a transfer fee despite the Ivorian carrying a current market value of €100,000.

Gnago, born in Abidjan and standing at 1.89m, continues a long career in Italian football with this latest move. Having never played professionally in his home country, he again stays abroad, extending a journey that has taken him through a series of Italian clubs and leagues rather than domestic competitions in Côte d’Ivoire.

Clodiense become the latest step on a well-travelled CV. Since arriving in Italy, Gnago has represented Edo Mestre, Calcio Istrana 1964, ASD SS Sacilese, Abano Calcio, Portomansuè, ASD Manzanese Calcio, Arzignano Valchiampo, Luparense FC, Treviso FBC 1993, US Adriese 1906 and Gravina. The majority of those spells have come across Serie D and the Italian regional system, giving the forward extensive experience at this level.

His market value has fluctuated across that period, peaking at €150,000 during his time with Treviso and more recently standing at €100,000 while on the books at Gravina. Despite the valuation, the move to Clodiense has gone through as a free transfer, in keeping with most of his previous switches, which have also been registered without disclosed fees.

Gnago’s position is listed as attack – centre-forward, and he is right-footed. The Ivorian will be expected to add a physical presence and depth to Clodiense’s front line as they compete in Serie D – Girone C. The transfer keeps him in Italian football, where he has spent the entirety of his senior career to date, and maintains his status as an Ivorian playing abroad rather than in domestic competition.

Contract details on earlier moves, including his recent short spells at Adriese and Gravina in the 2025-26 season, indicate a pattern of relatively brief stays before further transfers within the same tier. With his latest agreement at Clodiense tied to the 2025-26 campaign, the forward could again become a free agent at the end of the deal if no extension is triggered.

No official statistics on his appearances, goals or recent match performances for Gravina or Adriese are provided in the available data, and there is no record here of international caps for Côte d’Ivoire. However, his sustained market value at or around six figures into his mid-thirties underlines how he continues to be regarded as a useful attacking option at Serie D level.

For Clodiense, the signing adds an experienced, itinerant striker familiar with the demands of Italy’s lower leagues. For Gnago, it offers another opportunity to lead the line abroad in Serie D – Girone C and to extend a career built entirely in Italian football, with his future beyond this contract potentially hinging on how he performs over the course of the 2025-26 season.
