Malian midfielder Youssouf Diarra is on the verge of signing with CD Tenerife, according to reports from Africafoot. The 25-year-old, currently playing for Córdoba CF, has attracted interest from several clubs this summer, including Real Zaragoza. However, it appears that Tenerife has secured his services with a deal expected to be finalized soon.

Diarra, whose contract with Córdoba CF expires on June 30, has reportedly agreed in principle to join the island club.

Having moved to Spain at the tender age of eight, Diarra’s football journey is rooted in the Iberian Peninsula.

He is a product of the esteemed Basque training system, specifically Athletic Bilbao’s academy.

Despite his potential, Diarra left Bilbao in 2022 due to limited first-team opportunities and subsequently signed with Córdoba CF.

During his tenure at Córdoba, Diarra has showcased his development and talent.

This season, he has been pivotal in Córdoba’s campaign, contributing five goals and four assists in 39 matches across all competitions.

His performances have been instrumental in Córdoba’s push for promotion to the Segunda Division (Spanish D2).

Diarra is expected to sign a three-year contract with CD Tenerife as a free agent.

His market value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at €350,000 (229,114,486 FCFA).

Tenerife, who are aiming to bolster their midfield options, view Diarra as a key addition to their squad.

As Diarra prepares to make this significant move, his journey from a young talent in Spain to a professional midfielder continues to inspire.

His imminent signing with CD Tenerife marks a new chapter in his career, one that fans and analysts will be keenly watching.

Diarra’s switch to Tenerife reflects the club’s ambition and commitment to enhancing their squad with promising talent.

he joins the ranks of Tenerife, Diarra will be looking to make a substantial impact and further his career in Spanish football.
