Youssef Mehri strike sends RS Berkane into CAF Champions League group stage

RS Berkane secured their place in the CAF Champions League group stage by completing a 3-0 aggregate victory over Sierra Leonean side Star Sport.

The Moroccan club followed up their 2-0 away win in the first leg by claiming a 1-0 victory in the return match at home. The result saw RS Berkane progress from the round of 32 without conceding across the two meetings.

Youssef Mehri scored the decisive goal in the second leg in the 53rd minute, finding the net with a powerful effort from inside the penalty area.

RS Berkane reached the CAF Champions League semi-finals last season, where they were eliminated by fellow Moroccan club AS FAR.
