Barcelona close to signing young Moroccan talent Youssef Khanfri

Barcelona are nearing the signing of Moroccan youth prospect Youssef Khanfri, with the 12-year-old set to join the club’s renowned La Masia academy.

Khanfri, who has been playing for Rayo Majadahonda in the Madrid region, is expected to make the move ahead of the 2026–2027 season.

His arrival represents another step in Barcelona’s continued focus on identifying and developing young technical talent.

The youngster had attracted attention from several leading academies across Spain, including those closer to his current base in Madrid.

Despite interest from nearby clubs, it is understood that Barcelona’s long-term sporting project played a decisive role in convincing both the player and his family.
