Youssef En-Nesyri scores twice as Al-Ittihad forward continues impressive run

Youssef En-Nesyri strengthened his recent goalscoring form with a brace for Al-Ittihad against Al-Faisaly on Friday, scoring in both halves of their Roshn Saudi League meeting in the seventh round.

The Morocco striker opened the scoring in the 43rd minute after receiving a pass from Nigeria forward George Ilenikhena. His finish gave Al-Ittihad an important advantage before the interval and offered further evidence of his growing influence in the team’s attack.

En-Nesyri struck again in the 59th minute, completing his second goal of the match and maintaining his threat in front of goal. The two goals also extended a productive spell that began with his goal in Al-Ittihad’s previous league fixture against Al-Fayha.

That means En-Nesyri has now scored in consecutive league matches for Al-Ittihad for the third time since joining the club. The sequence reflects the progress he has made in establishing himself within the side and adding greater consistency to his attacking contributions.

The forward’s two-goal performance against Al-Faisaly was also his second brace for Al-Ittihad. His first came against Neom in a match the club lost 4-3 on 8 April.

En-Nesyri’s latest display provides Al-Ittihad with an important attacking boost as his understanding with his team-mates in the forward line continues to develop. His contribution has extended beyond finishing chances, with his movement also helping to create space for those around him.

The Morocco international has therefore entered a more influential phase with Al-Ittihad, combining an increased goalscoring return with the movement and link-up play needed to support the club’s wider attacking approach.
