Youssef En Nesyri will not be joining Juventus this season after the Moroccan striker decided against completing a move from Fenerbahce.
Juventus sporting director Giorgio Chiellini explained the breakdown, saying: “En-Nesyri had doubts regarding the transfer structure, and after assessing the situation, we consider the negotiations concluded. We will not be signing En-Nesyri on a permanent basis.”
The Italian club had reportedly lined up a loan deal worth 5 million euros with an option to buy for 19 million euros, plus a further 3 million in bonuses, but those terms will now stay on paper. En Nesyri only joined Fenerbahce in July 2024 and appeared to take his time before committing to another big move so soon.
The striker recently reached the Africa Cup of Nations final with Morocco, where they lost 1–0 to Senegal, adding to an already intense season.
Across club and international football this campaign, he has scored 10 goals and provided 1 assist in 36 matches, underlining why Juventus were keen to bring him in before talks collapsed.
